TECHNOLOGY INCUBATION CENTRES AND THE STATE OFFICES
There are 17 incubation centers all over the federation. These are the arms of the NBTI that is spread round the states to the grassroots. Any one with any discovery or technology enhancement ideas are encouraged to go to these centers for futher help. These Technology Incubation centers perform the following function:
FUNCTIONS OF THE TECHNOLOGY INCUBATION CENTERS
. Admission and Graduation of Enterprenuers in accordance with Policy guidelines.
. Provision and maintanace of infrastructure
. Technical support ie Technology Transfer, Product Design and Development
. Technology Development.
. Human resources development ie Skill Acqusition, Human relations, Enterprises Development
Collaborative linkages with R&D providers; Universities Corporate Bodies SME's NGO's State and Local Governments
Provision of financial support directly and indirectly
Provison of legal services, Product Registration and Monitoring of enterprenuers performance within the centers
Exploitation of market , Service delivery to enterprenuers , Industrial safety and security.
Establishment and Management of TICs: The Technology Incubation Programme has every citizen as a stakeholder because of its multiplying effects. However, the major stakeholders include the three tiers of the government.,Private sector Organisations, investors research and tertiary institutions, enterprenuers and any other persons that are interested and contributes in any way to the success of the programme.
